Fine art, also referred to as “high art,” has long been held up as the highest standard of artistic expression. Fine artists make work that is purely created to be aesthetically pleasing. The aesthetic purpose distinguishes the fine arts from the “low arts” which are traditionally designed for more practical purposes.

Sculptures 

The sculpture is  visual art form that is old and well regarded as a form of fine art. Sculptors have created some of the world's more memorial artworks, such as Michelangelo's David. Unlike a painter, a sculpture creates three-dimensional visual images. Although some sculptures may have paint applied, they typically use different materials to paint. 

Difference between painting and sculpture:

Painting is a well-known art form, commonly seen on display and widely taught in childhood education. Paintings are two-dimensional and involve paints or inks applied to a flat surface such as a canvas or wood.

Contemporary sculptors may also include digital elements alongside traditional welding, carving, assembling, or modeling techniques.

how clay modeling helps in the fine motor development of a child:

It helps improve eye/hand coordination and build both gross and fine motor skills, including the small muscles in hands and fingers.  This helps with dexterity and is beneficial for children colouring, cutting and writing in a school setting. Manipulating clay helps toddlers and preschoolers to develop their hand and eye co-ordination as they pound, pat and push the clay into shapes and objects. Clay also helps toddlers and preschoolers develop the small muscles in their fingers and hands, known as fine motor skills, as they pinch, squeeze and prod the clay, adding detail to the shape or object. Clay modelling is one way to develop fine motor skills. What are the differences between a one act play and a drama?

A one act play is a play where all the action happens in one act with no breaks, that is, the scene is continuous and the setting most likely will not change. The passage of time is usually on par with the passage of time for the audience- the scene most likely will not jump to a future time. There are notable exceptions, but for the most part this is the case. One act plays also can be of any genre, comedy, tragedy, history- it is not defined.

   on the other hand,  A drama, on the other hand, is only within the parameters of genre, where by definition the play is dramatic. It can have many acts and each act can have many scenes that can even take place over the course of years. Sets can change, costumes can even change on par with the style of the time the scene is portraying, and in some cases older actors can even replace young actors as the character to present the passage of time.

What is Role Play?

Role play is the basis of all dramatic activity. The ability to suspend disbelief by stepping into another character’s shoes comes quite naturally to most children. Through the structure of the drama lesson this can be used to great effect, challenging children to develop a more sensitive understanding of a variety of viewpoints whilst sharpening their language and movement skills. By adopting a role, children can step into the past or future and travel to any location, dealing with issues on moral and intellectual levels. Thus role play can be easily utilised to illuminate themes across the curriculum.

Important of art education.

The importance of the arts in modern education is often overlooked. It is not enough to just give our children the skills they need to be successful in life – it’s equally important that these skills are developed holistically.
