Importance and scope of environmental studies

Responsible action is taken to better the environment. Environmental education helps students to understand how their decisions and actions affect the environment, builds knowledge and skills necessary to address complex environmental issues, as well as ways we can take action to keep our environment healthy and sustainable for the future.

Environment plays an important role in the healthy living of human beings. it matters because it is the only home that humans have, and it provides air, food, and other needs. Humanity's entire life support system depends on the well-being of all the environmental factors.

Education encourages people to use energy and water more efficiently and recycle household waste. By increasing awareness and concern, education can encourage people to reduce their impact on the environmentthrough more efficient use of energy and water supplies, especially in areas of resource scarcity.

The scope of environmental studies is verywide and it deals with many areas like i) Conservation of natural resources, ii) ecological aspects, iii) pollution of the surrounding natural resources, iv) controlling the pollution, v) social issues connected to it, and vi) impacts of human population on the environment.
